Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

Using RankIt means you fully and unconditionally accept these Terms and Conditions (the « Terms »). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, do not use the app. You must be at least 13 years old (16 in certain EU countries) to use the service. By continuing to play, you confirm you meet that age requirement. Last updated: 2026-06-15.

2. Description of Service

RankIt is a multiplayer party game in which a group of friends answers situational or social prompts and tries to rank one another. The app is provided « as is »; we make no promise of uninterrupted availability. You need an internet connection, an Apple or Google account, and at least two players on separate devices to start a game.

3. Account and Data

RankIt does not require account creation. The app generates a random device identifier (deviceId) on first launch; that identifier acts as a technical key to store your preferences, your personal questions, your reports and your blocks server-side. You can delete this data at any time by uninstalling the app and writing to [email protected] (see the Privacy Policy).

4. User Conduct

When using RankIt you agree not to:

• write or inject any content that is illegal, hateful, racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, sexually explicit, or that encourages violence or self-harm;
• harass, threaten or impersonate another person;
• try to bypass the automatic moderation or any security measure;
• exploit the service for commercial purposes without prior written agreement.
  Any breach can lead to immediate hiding of your content and, on repeat, permanent exclusion from the service.

5. Intellectual Property

The app, its artwork, code, game cards and translations are protected by copyright. You retain ownership of the questions and scale labels you write via « My questions », but you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence — limited to the time you use the service — to display them to other players in the rooms you join. No other use is allowed without your consent.

6. Modifications to the Service

We can evolve the service at any time: adding or removing game modes, packs, settings or features. Major changes are announced inside an update. If you do not agree with a change, you can uninstall the app; continued use after publication means you accept the change. We can permanently discontinue the service with reasonable notice.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Controller is not liable for indirect damages, loss of data, loss of opportunity or non-pecuniary damage resulting from use or inability to use RankIt. Our total liability, all causes combined, is capped at the amount you have actually paid us through in-app purchases over the previous 12 months.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute about their interpretation or performance falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts, subject to mandatory consumer protection provisions. You may also use a free consumer mediator before any court action.
